ComfyUI Prompt Studio & Flux.1 Latent Calculator

Craft modern natural language paragraphs for Flux T5, calculate exact 1-Megapixel Empty Latent dimensions, and copy directly into CLIP Text Encode nodes without slowing down your GPU.

ComfyUI Empty Latent Resolution Calculator (1MP Buckets)

Avoid duplicate heads and stretched limbs by using native trained resolution buckets.

Flux does not parse tag commas like SD 1.5. Instead, write in complete descriptive sentences detailing character, optics, lighting, and composition. No negative prompt node is neededβ€”leave the Negative conditioning unplugged in Flux workflows.

ComfyUI Prompting & Resolution Guide

Essential technical standards for ComfyUI and Flux.1 workflows.

Why do random Empty Latent resolutions fail?

Diffusion models are trained in specific bucket sizes totaling roughly 1,048,576 pixels (1 Megapixel). Entering arbitrary dimensions like 1920x1080 forces the model into untrained aspect ratios, causing multiple bodies, dual heads, or stretched textures. Always use tested buckets like 1344x768 or 1024x1024.

How are LoRAs applied in ComfyUI?

Unlike WebUI (A1111), vanilla ComfyUI does NOT parse text syntax such as <lora:name:0.8> in text boxes. You must insert a physical Load LoRA node, connect the Model and CLIP wires through it, and set the strength slider directly on the node.

What samplers work best with Flux.1?

The recommended setup for Flux.1 Schnell / Dev in ComfyUI is the euler sampler paired with the simple or beta scheduler. Use 20–25 steps for Dev (4 steps for Schnell) with a guidance scale of 3.5.

Why run prompt generation on the web?

Running local LLMs (like Ollama or Qwen) alongside Flux.1 or SDXL often exhausts 8GB–16GB VRAM, resulting in CUDA Out of Memory (OOM) crashes. Using PaceBowl on a second monitor offloads prompt structuring to the browser without consuming a single megabyte of GPU memory.
